Students in the Seniors at Noble Park SDS participate in the 16+ Independent Living Program. Inters also focus on developing independent living skills and follow the modified VELS curriculum. The curriculum is designed to maximize each student’s potential and equip them with learning opportunities and strategies to enhance their own social, emotional and physical wellbeing.Strong emphasis is placed on independent living skills, self confidence/awareness, self reliance, decision making skills, acceptable social behaviour and community awareness. Students explore how learning is applied in work, recreation, the classroom and in community settings.
The learning areas for both Seniors and Inters at this level are:

In the last year at school, students and parents are supported and guided through the Futures for Young Adults process in selecting and making the transition to post-school options.
